Why plants call us instead of clearing it manually

Manual ring removal means shutting the kiln, waiting for it to cool, and putting a gang inside — up to 8 days and as many as 30 workers. The Cardox CO2 System works at full operating temperature with one or two operators, so the cool-down and heat-up disappear.

Where sockets are fitted permanently to the vessel wall, blockages clear during production — no outage to schedule at all.

Cement production has no shortage of places prone to rings, chokes and build-ups. Every point marked below is cleared from outside the shell, at operating temperature — no cool-down, no entry.

  1. 1 Cyclone stages
    Material bakes onto the cone and the vessel walls. Cleared through wall sockets without waiting for the tower to cool.
  2. 2 Cyclone cones & dip tubes
    The classic choke point. A tube fired through a socket breaks the build-up in milliseconds.
  3. 3 Lower-stage cyclones
    Hotter, stickier material and the heaviest coating in the tower.
  4. 4 Feed pipes
    Choked pipework between stages cleared without dismantling it.
  5. 5 Bottom stage & riser duct
    Where meal is hottest and most prone to bonding on its way to the kiln.
  6. 6 Kiln inlet chamber
    Accumulations at the inlet, cleared from outside the shell while the line stays hot.
  7. 7 Rotary kiln — ring build-up
    Rings in the burning zone broken out without cooling the kiln or sending anyone in.
  8. 8 Cooler & snowmen
    Build-up and snowmen in the cooler section removed safely from outside.
  9. 9 Clinker extraction
    Blocked outlets, gates and chutes opened without a person entering.
  10. 10 Clinker & cement silos
    Wall coating, ratholes and deadstock — full storage capacity restored.
