Material stops behaving like a liquid and starts behaving like rock. These are the seven ways it happens — and every one of them costs you storage capacity you have already paid for.
A self-supporting arch forms across the vessel and flow stops completely. It still weighs full — and the arch can collapse without warning onto anyone beneath it.
Material runs down a narrow central channel while the rest sits welded to the wall. The vessel looks like it is working. You are cycling a fraction of its capacity.
Layer after layer hardens onto the wall until the effective diameter shrinks. Capacity falls with the square of the radius, so a modest layer costs far more than it looks.
Moisture binds the material into slabs bonded to the wall. Once it has set, aeration and vibration achieve nothing — the bond has to be broken mechanically.
Material arches over the outlet leaving a cavity beneath. Discharge stops even though the vessel above is full.
Only a narrow core moves. Thick stagnant wedges are left at the walls and never turn over — the oldest stock never leaves.
The cone and outlet choke solid. The conventional fix is a person with a rod, which is the most dangerous job in the plant.

A steel tube of liquid CO2 is energised electrically. The gas expands to 600 times its volume at up to 40,000 psi and breaks the blockage in milliseconds. One tube shifts over 3 tonnes.
Non-explosive, so no licence and no magazine. It works at full operating temperature — and where sockets are fitted to the vessel wall, blockages clear while the plant keeps running.

A hydraulic boom enters through the existing top hatch. Chain and hammer whipsets run at 800–1,000 rpm and clean hardened material off the wall as the vessel empties beneath.
Non-destructive — no gouging of concrete, liners, coatings or welds. Whipsets are matched to the material and to the condition of the vessel. We manufacture these machines and run them ourselves.

Vessel height is not a limitation — we work silos up to 60 metres from the roof down.
